How to Make a Claim

To help everything move quickly, please be prepared to provide the following documentation:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Installation date
  • Product registration
  • Verification of your active Home Comfort Club membership
  • Maintenance records

 

Quality Heating & Cooling may inspect the system prior to claim approval to verify eligibility and ensure the issue is properly documented so we can get your comfort restored as quickly as possible.

Serenity System Warranty FAQ's

What does it cover?

It covers parts & labor for manufacturing defects on your full Trane-branded HVAC system installed by Quality Heating & Cooling. That means if a covered part fails due to a defect, we supply the part and the labor to install it.

Coverage lasts for the lifetime of the system or up to 40 years from installation (whichever comes first), as long as you own and live in the home.

Only complete Trane-branded systems installed by Quality Heating & Cooling. Partial systems, individual components, or non-Trane equipment aren’t covered.

Yes! Labor to replace covered defective parts is included. This is a major difference versus most warranties that cover parts only

A diagnostic/service call fee may apply for the initial visit (at the company’s discretion). If charged, that fee is the homeowner’s responsibility and isn’t covered by the warranty.

The company’s total liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective component/system, not exceeding the original purchase price of the product. No refunds or cash payouts.

Yes – One transfer only within 60 months of original purchase, with a $750 transfer fee per covered piece (system components and thermostat). The transfer must be completed within 90 days of ownership changes, and the new owner must meet all requirements (including Home Comfort Club status).

You must:

  •  Have the system installed and  inspected by Quality Heating & Cooling
  • Register the system within 60 days of install
  •  Enroll and stay active in the Home Comfort Club
  •  Complete professional maintenance every year (no lapses)

 

If any of these lapse, the warranty is voided permanently.

Not covered:

  • Filters, belts, pads, and other consumables
  • Cosmetic issues
  • Damage from misuse, floods, fires, lightning, or unauthorized repairs
  • Home modifications without written approval (additions, renovations)
  • Non-Trane equipment or partial systems
  • Consequential damages (like utility costs or property damage)

If a part is discontinued/obsolete or regulations change (e.g., refrigerant phase-outs), the warranty does not
cover system upgrades or regulatory changes. We’ll offer comparable substitutes if available; otherwise,
upgrade costs are the homeowner’s responsibility.

Coverage ends if ownership transfers or if the home is unoccupied for more than 6 consecutive months.

  • Maintenance records
    We may inspect the system before approval.
