Lead Installation Specialist

Fred has been an employee of Quality Heating & Cooling for 5-1/2 years. He originally started out as a Service Technician and within the past year moved over to the Installation side of the business. Because of his technical background Fred is very knowledgeable in H.V.A.C. Fred also attended A.B.C Trade School for two years earning his Heating & Cooling Certification. He enjoys working in this field because he gets to do something new every day. Fred was employed by another Heating & Cooling company before coming on board with Quality and has never been happier. Fred and his wife of 20 years have 12 year old twins, girl and boy. He likes to target shoot and spend time with his family.

Lead Installation Specialist

Joe has been an employee of Quality Heating & Cooling for 3 years. He is originally form the Cuyahoga Falls area but currently lives in Perry Twp. Joe attended R.G. Drage Career Technical Center and spent 3 years at Local 33 (a program in Cleveland that trains skilled craftsman in sheet metal work). Joe says, “I enjoy working for Quality because of the care that goes in to every installation from all aspects – sales, service and the installation itself.” Joe has a little girl and loves nothing more than coming home form work and playing with her. He also spends a lot of time playing music.

Lead Installation Specialist

Scott is a current resident of Louisville, Ohio. He has over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry. His favorite thing about heating and cooling is helping customers. He enjoys working for Quality Heating & Cooling because it is a family-owned company and he feels like part of the family .He is married with no kids. In his free time, he enjoys, hunting, drag racing and billiards.

Installation Specialist

Chris was born and raised in Massillon. He attended R.G. Drage Career Technical Center to start learning and training in his H.V.A.C career. He spent 2 years training before coming on board at Quality Heating & Cooling. Chris enjoys this career because he is working on a different job each day. The reason he chooses to work for Quality is because of the great staff, the organization and the fact that the work is done the way it’s supposed to be. Chris enjoys hunting and motorcycles.

Installation Specialist

Steve came to Quality Heating & Cooling to learn the HVAC trade through our comprehensive training program. He loves hands on work that not everyone can do. When asked what he likes about working for Quality Heating & Cooling, he replied, “great people and I love the type of work.” Steve also loves his home life where he says that he has a great wife and that they compliment each other well. They have a boxer/pug mix and a great dane. On the weekends, they enjoy gardening and Steve also likes riding ATVs.

Installation Specialist

Nate was born in Louisville, Kentucky but now calls Tallmadge, Ohio his hometown. Nate enjoys the intricate work required in the HVAC trade. He has also been studying pre-veterinary medicine. Nate is a family man with a wife, 2 kids, and a dog. He enjoys competitive computer gaming and remodeling when he finds a little extra time in his busy schedule.

Installation Specialist

Payten is a Springfield Township resident. He studied the HVAC trade at Portage Lakes Career Center. He enjoys the transformation he gets to impact in the comfort of a home and the feeling of achievement of a job well done. He is known for making every situation a happy situation no matter how bad it seems. He is currently a bachelor and loves spending time with family and friends and riding motorcycles, fishing, and sports in his free time.

Service Technician

Ian began his HVAC career by earning a Universal Certificate. He chose the HVAC industry because he enjoys problem solving and helping customers. Ian’s favorite thing about working at Quality is that the people are great and pleasant to talk to. He is happy to say that he has a wonderful girlfriend of 5 years and 2 rescue dogs. He enjoys playing instruments and cooking in his free time.

Service Technician

Cody has been with Quality for over 5 years. He grew up in Alliance and currently lives in Minerva. He began his career in HVAC by training at technical school because he was particularly interested in diagnostics and has since earned his N.A.T.E. Certification. Cody likes working for Quality because he loves this area and his co-workers. He has a girlfriend named Terri and a dog named Dungey. He enjoys riding motorcycles in his free time.

NATE Certified Service Technician

Fred has been with Quality Heating & Cooling for 19 years. Fred’s position at Quality is in the Service Department. He is one of Quality’s top technicians with a wide variety of service areas. Fred was born and raised in Massillon. His extensive training started at R.G Drage Technical Career Center. He then achieved his N.A.T.E Certification along with on the job training. Fred is now responsible for training and guiding new Service Technicians. He chose this career because he enjoys having the ability to repair things and fulfilling his customer’s needs. Fred likes working for Quality because of the people he works with every day and he enjoys seeing his customers on a regular basis. Fred is married and has a 17 year old son with one cat and one dog. He enjoys bike riding, fishing and working around the house.

Service Technician

Bobby attended Stark State College. He became interested in working in HVAC because it is a growing industry and systems need maintained to stay in optimal operating condition. Bobby likes working for Quality Heating & Cooling because employees and customers are treated like family! In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his baby son named Sawyer. He also enjoys fishing.

Service Technician

Rick has been with Quality Heating & Cooling since 1987. He was Quality’s first Service Technician. After being out in the field and running service calls for many years, Rick is now managing the Service Department. He is responsible for the training and customer service provided through the Service Department. Rick is also has his N.A.T.E Certification. Rick has enjoyed working for QHC for his entire career in the HVAC business because of the family atmosphere the owner has created. In his free time, he enjoys motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He has two sons and one beautiful granddaughter.

Service Technician

Mike was born and raised in Texas but is proud to now call Wadsworth, Ohio his hometown. Mike began his career as an electrician and then studied HVAC at Medina County Career Center. He loves meeting new customers and solving heating and cooling problems. He is married with three young sons and two dogs. When not at work, Mike enjoys boating on his family’s pontoon and watching his kids in sporting activities.

Service Technician

Alex was born in Massillon and currently lives in Dalton, Ohio. He has an Associate’s Degree from Stark State college. Alex was drawn to the HVAC industry because he enjoys helping people. He especially likes working for Quality Heating & Cooling because of the family atmosphere. He is married with three children- two boys and one baby girl. In his free time, he likes to BBQ and coach youth sports.

Office Team

Sales Manager

Sokol has been an employee of Quality Heating & Cooling for 10 Years. He started out in the company as a Service Technician. He quickly moved over into to our Comfort Specialist role because he enjoyed the design process and working homeowners to make their home more comfortable. Sokol is originally from Albania but lives in Massillon with his wife of 11 years, son & baby on the way. Sokol enjoys working for Quality Heating & Cooling because of the first impression he had of the owner Rick Groff and the way Rick treats his customers and employees. Sokol likes soccer, golfing, traveling, cooking and spending time with his family.

Project Coordinator

Darin has been with Quality Heating & Cooling for 30 years. He’s seen it evolve from the beginning. Darin started on during high school as a shop boy. Everything he knows has been taught to him during on the job training from the owner. He enjoys working in the H.V.A.C industry because every day is different and challenging. The fun family working atmosphere of Quality has kept him on board for the past 30 years. Darin and his wife Lori live in Dalton and have two kids ages 13 and 10. He spends a lot of time coaching his son’s football team, helping with Boy Scouts, fishing & camping.

Lead Coordinator

Lisa has been employed by Quality Heating & Cooling since March, 2015. She grew up in Wadsworth but now lives in Massillon. Lisa is responsible for coordinating with customers who are interested in purchasing new equipment. She is the customer service representative that will set up their appointment, schedule their installation and walk the customers through the process (financing, inspections/permits). Lisa communicates with our Comfort Specialist and Installation Specialist to ensure all aspects of the installation are taken care of. When asked why she liked working for Quality Heating & Cooling she answered, “I have the best employers/coworkers I’ve ever worked with. I’m very grateful for my job and I’m proud to say this is my workplace and my career.” Lisa is married with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 3 chickens. She likes to redo furniture, crafts, quilting and making personalized gifts for others.

Comfort Consultant

Andrew was born in Atlanta and moved to Medina as a young boy. He attended the University of Akron and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration and Organizational Communication. He likes working in the HVAC industry because he gets to help people and provide solutions for an essential human need. He says that he loves working for Quality because of it’s character, honesty and integrity and because we take care of the customer and their needs the right way every time. Andrew currently resides in Wadsworth, Ohio where spending time with his young son Jackson is his #1 favorite thing to do. He is also a huge sports fan and loves everything related to Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams.

Field Manager

Tad joins the Quality team with over 20 years of industry experience. He decided on HVAC as a career to make an honest living to support his family. About choosing Quality as a place of employment, he says that he enjoys working for a company that values integrity over profit. Tad lives in Barberton with his wife. They have 6 children, 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 guinea pig and 1 pet snake. In his free time, he likes hunting, fishing and long walks in the park.
