Our technicians are all either certified or working toward certification by North American Technician Excellence (NATE). Founded in 1997, NATE is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. To maintain their NATE certification, our technicians must complete yearly continuing education requirements.

In addition to certification, our staff is trained by the manufacturer on the proper installation and service of all the products we offer. DARIN GROFF
Installation Manager

Darin has been with Quality Heating & Cooling for 30 years. He’s seen it evolve from the beginning. Darin started on during high school as a shop boy. Everything he knows has been taught to him during on the job training from the owner. He enjoys working in the H.V.A.C industry because every day is different and challenging. The fun family working atmosphere of Quality has kept him on board for the past 30 years. Darin and his wife Lori live in Dalton and have two kids ages 13 and 10. He spends a lot of time coaching his son’s football team, helping with Boy Scouts, fishing & camping.

FRED DAVIS
Lead Installation Specialist

Fred has been an employee of Quality Heating & Cooling for 5-1/2 years. He originally started out as a Service Technician and within the past year moved over to the Installation side of the business. Because of his technical background Fred is very knowledgeable in H.V.A.C. Fred also attended A.B.C Trade School for two years earning his Heating & Cooling Certification. He enjoys working in this field because he gets to do something new every day. Fred was employed by another Heating & Cooling company before coming on board with Quality and has never been happier. Fred and his wife of 20 years have 12 year old twins, girl and boy. He likes to target shoot and spend time with his family.

CHRIS RUBY
Installation Specialist

Chris was born and raised in Massillon. He attended R.G. Drage Career Technical Center to start learning and training in his H.V.A.C career. He spent 2 years training before coming on board at Quality Heating & Cooling. Chris enjoys this career because he is working on a different job each day. The reason he chooses to work for Quality is because of the great staff, the organization and the fact that the work is done the way it’s supposed to be. Chris enjoys hunting and motorcycles.

IAN BLOUGH
Service Technician

Ian began his HVAC career by earning a Universal Certificate. He chose the HVAC industry because he enjoys problem solving and helping customers. Ian’s favorite thing about working at Quality is that the people are great and pleasant to talk to. He is happy to say that he has a wonderful girlfriend of 5 years and 2 rescue dogs. He enjoys playing instruments and cooking in his free time.

WILL HARVEY
Service Technician

Will has been with Quality Heating & Cooling since 2014. He grew up in North Canton and still lives there today. He trained to be a technician at Fortis College and has participated in extensive on-going training. He enjoys the HVAC industry because there is always something new to learn. Will likes working for Quality because it is family owned and operated and has a good work environment. When he is not at work, he enjoys the outdoors and camping.

CODY OCEL
Service Technician

Cody has been with Quality for over 5 years. He grew up in Alliance and currently lives in Minerva. He began his career in HVAC by training at technical school because he was particularly interested in diagnostics and has since earned his N.A.T.E. Certification. Cody likes working for Quality because he loves this area and his co-workers. He has a girlfriend named Terri and a dog named Dungey. He enjoys riding motorcycles in his free time.

BRANDON PAGE
Service Technician

Brandon started with Quality Heating & Cooling in the installation department. He quickly showed great drive and performance and moved into his own van servicing customers as a Technician. Brandon grew up in Brewster. He completed 2 years at R.G. Drage Technical School. He enjoys working for Quality because it’s like one big family and the people are great. Brandon has a 6 month old son at home. When he’s not working he like the outdoors, bodybuilding and wrestling.

FRED PARSONS
NATE Certified Service Technician

Fred has been with Quality Heating & Cooling for 19 years. Fred’s position at Quality is in the Service Department. He is one of Quality’s top technicians with a wide variety of service areas. Fred was born and raised in Massillon. His extensive training started at R.G Drage Technical Career Center. He then achieved his N.A.T.E Certification along with on the job training. Fred is now responsible for training and guiding new Service Technicians. He chose this career because he enjoys having the ability to repair things and fulfilling his customer’s needs. Fred likes working for Quality because of the people he works with every day and he enjoys seeing his customers on a regular basis. Fred is married and has a 17 year old son with one cat and one dog. He enjoys bike riding, fishing and working around the house.

BOBBY SCHMITT
Service Technician

Bobby attended Stark State College. He became interested in working in HVAC because it is a growing industry and systems need maintained to stay in optimal operating condition. Bobby likes working for Quality Heating & Cooling because employees and customers are treated like family! In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his baby son named Sawyer. He also enjoys fishing.

RICK WHITAKER
Service Technician

Rick has been with Quality Heating & Cooling since 1987. He was Quality’s first Service Technician. After being out in the field and running service calls for many years, Rick is now managing the Service Department. He is responsible for the training and customer service provided through the Service Department. Rick is also has his N.A.T.E Certification. Rick has enjoyed working for QHC for his entire career in the HVAC business because of the family atmosphere the owner has created. In his free time, he enjoys motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He has two sons and one beautiful granddaughter.

SOKOL DURICI
Sales Manager

Sokol has been an employee of Quality Heating & Cooling for 10 Years. He started out in the company as a Service Technician. He quickly moved over into to our Comfort Specialist role because he enjoyed the design process and working homeowners to make their home more comfortable. Sokol is originally from Albania but lives in Massillon with his wife of 11 years, son & baby on the way. Sokol enjoys working for Quality Heating & Cooling because of the first impression he had of the owner Rick Groff and the way Rick treats his customers and employees. Sokol likes soccer, golfing, traveling, cooking and spending time with his family.

BLAKE FISCHBACH

Blake Fischbach is a rockstar here at Quality Heating & Cooling. Blake began his HVAC career at Fortis College where he learned the HVAC trade and has continued his education with extensive training. He has broad knowledge of heating and cooling having held install and service positions and has advanced to the role of comfort consultant. Our customers are in good hands with Blake! He likes working for Quality because of the family atmosphere that promotes honesty and integrity. When not at work, Blake loves spending time with his beautiful family and he enjoys playing golf during his free time.

LISA MATHERS
Lead Coordinator

Lisa has been employed by Quality Heating & Cooling since March, 2015. She grew up in Wadsworth but now lives in Massillon. Lisa is responsible for coordinating with customers who are interested in purchasing new equipment. She is the customer service representative that will set up their appointment, schedule their installation and walk the customers through the process (financing, inspections/permits). Lisa communicates with our Comfort Specialist and Installation Specialist to ensure all aspects of the installation are taken care of. When asked why she liked working for Quality Heating & Cooling she answered, “I have the best employers/coworkers I’ve ever worked with. I’m very grateful for my job and I’m proud to say this is my workplace and my career.” Lisa is married with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 3 chickens. She likes to redo furniture, crafts, quilting and making personalized gifts for others.

BRITTANIE MCFARLANE
Maintenance Customer Service Representative

Brittanie currently holds the position of “Maintenance Customer Service Representative”. She has been a great addition to Quality’s staff to be the “go to” person for our priority customers who have a Maintenance Agreement. She enjoys calling these priority customers to set up Precision Tune-Ups and maintaining great relationships with them. Brittanie likes working in the HVAC industry because she’s learning something new every day. She also likes helping our priority customers and making them 100% satisfied with the customer service they receive. Brittanie likes working for Quality because everyone is welcoming, caring and understanding. She likes that the company is family oriented. Brittanie’s hobbies are spending time with her 5 year old son and playing outside with him, doing board games, and card games.

KELLY STOUGHTON
Service Dispatcher

Kelly is our Service Dispatcher. Her main responsibility is scheduling customer’s service calls and working with our Service Technicians to ensure everyone’s problems are handled properly. Kelly has been an employee of Quality Heating & Cooling for 14 years. She enjoys her job because likes helping people and providing the customer service that they deserve. Kelly says “Working for Quality Heating & Cooling doesn’t feel like work. I love my job and everyone here is like my second family. We all get along so good in the office and help each other out. That is very hard to find in most companies.” When she’s not working, Kelly enjoys being out in the sun during summer months and taking a cruise in the car.
